They have been crafted since pre-Hispanic times, each piece takes 4 - 6 weeks to weave. They are thick and robust weighing between 3-4kg ensuring durability for many years to come.
This Peruvian vintage rug 'frazadas' has never been walked on. It's made from hand-spun yarn that is naturally dyed, and handwoven on a backstrap loom.
