Winter Skincare

As the weather gets colder, our skin can become dry and dull. Unfortunately we don't all have a lavish spa at home a la Gwyneth Paltrow. But we can make some simple changes to our routine to help keep out skin soft and supple. Or even try and carve out an hour to yourself for a little self care at home spa experience.

1. Use a Gentle Cleanser

During the colder months, it's important to use a gentle cleanser that won't strip your skin of its natural oils.

2. Hydrate with a Moisturiser

Moisturiser is a crucial step in any skincare routine, especially during the colder months. Look for a moisturiser that is formulated with natural ingredients like shea butter, jojoba oil, or apricot kernal oil. These ingredients will help hydrate your skin and lock in moisture, leaving your skin feeling soft.Exfoliate

3. Exfoliate

Exfoliating is an important step in any skincare routine, but it's especially important during the colder months when dead skin cells can build up more easily. Look for a gentle exfoliant that is formulated with natural ingredients like sugar, oatmeal, or sea salt. These ingredients will help remove dead skin cells and reveal brighter, smoother skin. If you prefer no product, dry brushing is another option.

4. Protect with SPF

Just because it's colder outside doesn't mean you should skip the sunscreen. UV rays can still damage your skin, even on cloudy days. Look for a natural sunscreen that is formulated with ingredients like zinc oxide or titanium dioxide. These ingredients will help protect your skin from harmful UV rays, while also providing hydration and nourishment.
